We are always into artists who participate in the brainstorming process with us. After a series of back and forth email rejections for locations, Joan Shelley nailed when she suggested a car wash.
Shooting inside of a car, inside of a carwash does pose some pretty unique problems. It is cramped, loud, and surprisingly hot. It is also incredibly hard to hide microphones in a way that captures audio the way it sounds to your ears. We had to mic the whole car. After a brief series of total screw ups on our part, we got the whole thing shot in record time.
Thanks to Sean Johnson, Joe Manning, and a bunch of brushes and jets for their accompaniment.
