Everybody’s Hugging is an ongoing collaborative music, film and photography project that pairs musicians with cinematographers in unique locations. How do we, as creative accomplices, respond to, address, and accompany the resulting friction?
Each episode is shot without rehearsal and recorded live as the musicians struggle with or incorporate their environments. We feel the process of distilling the creative process to a few minutes and then sealing the lid on it promotes intimacy, immediacy, and hopefully awesomeness in the participants – both in front of and behind the camera. The beauty, absurdity, and combustion are just byproducts of the process.
